WHO WE ARE
Formerly involved in architectural work and renovation of the Cain’s Coffee Building, Stan Engle embarked on the renovation of the 1952 Howard Johnson’s restaurant. The building was gutted and new services added. It houses a meeting space, coffee (espresso) bar and live music venue. The building was a landmark for Howard Johnson’s which included the hotel to the south and the trademark orange roof and steeple that could be seen on their structures nationwide.
OUR MISSION
We aim to serve the best coffee and espresso drinks in a unique atmosphere close to downtown Oklahoma City. Our notable neighbors are Lincoln at Central Park Apartments and the historic Lincoln Terrace neighborhood. We are right down the street from the Oklahoma State Capitol complex and the OU Health Science Center. We are very near I-44, I-35 and the Adventure District of Oklahoma City. We hope to be a stop, refuge and place to chat for our neighbors, friends and visitors. We offer free WiFi!
TIMELINE
There were reports in 2003, that the inside of the building still had the original furniture and decor. But, a year later, the building was stripped and abandoned of original features. We purchased the Howard Johnson Restaurant in 2016. We have gutted, restored and reinvigorated this icon into a unique space for The Last Drop.
